Florida State’s difficult 2026 season has taken another hit, as star wide receiver Duce Robinson will miss the remainder of the year with a torn ACL.
Robinson suffered the injury during Saturday’s 36-24 loss to Clemson, exiting in the second half. The season-ending injury was first reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel and confirmed by multiple outlets.
The 6-foot-6 senior was Florida State’s leading receiver through eight games, recording 24 receptions for 438 yards and four touchdowns. His absence leaves a significant hole in an offense already struggling to find consistency.
Robinson emerged as one of the ACC’s top receivers in 2025 after transferring from USC. He finished that season with 56 receptions, 1,081 yards and six touchdowns, earning first-team All-ACC honors.
Rather than entering the 2026 NFL Draft, Robinson elected to return to Tallahassee for another season. Now, the injury raises questions about his football future and potential draft plans.
Another Blow for the Seminoles
The news comes during a turbulent stretch for Florida State.
The Seminoles sit at 3-5 overall and 1-4 in ACC play following three consecutive losses. The program also fired head coach Mike Norvell on Sunday, leaving interim coach Rick Stockstill to navigate the final four games.
Florida State is already without running back Ousmane Kromah, who suffered a season-ending injury against Miami.
With Robinson sidelined, quarterback Ashton Daniels will need increased production from receivers Jayvan Boggs and Micahi Danzy.
Boggs has recorded 415 receiving yards this season, while Danzy has contributed 301 yards and three touchdowns.
Florida State travels to Boston College on Saturday before facing Pitt, NC State and rival Florida to close the regular season.
For Robinson, the immediate focus shifts to recovery. For the Seminoles, losing their leading receiver adds another challenge to an already difficult season.
